Christophe Clement

Christophe comes from a family of horsemen. From a young age, he grew up learning from his father, who was a trainer in France, before moving to the United States where he worked for Shug McGaughey for just over a year. He then went back to Europe and worked for trainer Luca Camani in Newmarket before opening a public stable in the United States in 1991. Christophe has rapidly risen up the ranks to become a top trainer thanks to his unique, hands-on approach to training. He’s had considerable success in New York, but has also excelled at shipping his horses to various tracks and placing them in spots where they can win. Christophe has sent out notable graded stakes winners: England's Legend (G1 Beverly D), Forbidden Apple (G1 Manhattan Handicap), Voodoo Dancer (G1 Diana), Relaxed Gesture (G1 Canadian International), Mauralakana (G1 Beverly D), Dynever (G3 Lone Star Derby), Vacare (G2 First Lady), Rutherienne (G1 Del Mar Oaks), Royal Highness (G1 Beverly D) Gio Ponti (G1 Kilroe Mile), and In Summation (G1 Bing Crosby) amongst many others.
