Bill MottBill started training at age 15 and harnessed his skills under Hall-of-Fame trainer Jack Van Berg for three years before going out on his own in 1978. Bill has had a highly successful career winning back to back Eclipse awards as top trainer in 1995 and 1996. He’s trained champions Cigar, who won 16 consecutive races and set the all-time record for highest earnings, Ajina, Theatrical, Escena, and Paradise Creek. In 1998, Bill was inducted to the Hall-of-Fame. He’s won multiple training titles: nine at Gulfstream, ten at Belmont, and nine at Saratoga. Most recently, Bill has enjoyed graded stakes success with My Typhoon (G1 Diana), After Market (G2 Nat'l Museum Racing Hall Of Fame Stakes), Sweet Symphony (G1 Alabama), Angara (G1 Diana), Go Between (G1 Pacific Classic), Court Vision (G1 Hollywood Derby), Majestic Warrior (G1 Hopeful), and Dynaforce (G1 Flower Bowl). |
