3/27: SOUTHWESTERN runs 3rd
SOUTHWESTERN was allowed to settle into a good stalking position about five lengths off the pace on the rail. He maintained that position until early in the second turn when Centeno asked him for his move. He gave a mild rally while finishing evenly down the stretch and was out finished late for second to run third, defeated by two lengths.

SOUTHWESTERN broke well and settled off the pace into the first turn. Once on the backstretch Castro asked SOUTHWESTERN for a middle move to draw within four lengths of the leader. He maintained that position around the turn, but lacked the needed rally down the stretch to finish 9th beaten 7 1/4 lengths.
